How to use the lead lag calculator

Do you need to replace the tractor tyres for one of your customers or change tyre size?

We designed this tool to help you choose the most suitable tyre and be able to keep a very good lead ratio on your customer’s vehicle.

This tool will allow you make an automatic lead calculation but also offers mounting recommendations with the most suitable tyre dimensions from the Bridgestone and Firestone ranges.

Here is how to use your online tool:

1. ENTER YOUR INTER AXLE RATIO (IAR)

It is important to know the tractor’s gear ratio, which can be found in the manufacturer’s user manual.
If you don’t have access to this information you can leave this box blank and tick the “I don’t know the gear ratio” box.


2. TYRES TO BE REPLACED 

Select the set of tyres you wish to replace: front, rear or all 4 tyres.


3. SELECT YOUR CURRENT SET OF TYRES

In the selectors, choose the tractor’s current tyres: the size of the front tyre, the brand and exact tyre reference for the front tyre and the same for the rear tyre.

4. ESTIMATED LEAD

When you click on the red button "CALCULATE", your lead calculation will be done automatically.
The tool will also give you indications that validate (or not) the configuration of the tyres fitted on the tractor on which you are working.

5. “FRONT OR REAR RIMS” SELECTOR

In the "Front or rear rims" selector, select the size of the rim on the tractor. This will make it possible to filter the recommendation table, to include only the rims that are suitable for you.

6. RECOMMENDATION TABLE

Underneath the "ESTIMATED LEAD" box, you will find all the Firestone and Bridgestone range tyres that can be mounted on this tractor, with the possibility of improving your customer’s tractor lead.

This table of results ranks the lead from best to least pertinent. Each possibility is compatible with the tractor configuration and dimensions that you have indicated.

In the right column of the recommendation table, you will find the list of authorised rims, the model marked REC is the recommended model, the other models marked APP are approved or compatible.


7. DOWNLOAD YOUR RESULTS

You can download your results in Excel format by clicking on the red button "EXPORT RESULTS IN EXCEL".
